GoCode At Doha Learning Days

GoCode recently participated in Doha Learning Days – an experiential festival organised by the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE – an initiative of Qatar Foundation). The festival took place in Education City’s Ceremonial Court and Green-Spine between November 14 – 19, 2019.
At DLD, GoCode hosted a number of different workshops for all ages that explored Coding and AI Technology. In partnership with Qatar Rail, the team hosted a range of activities throughout the festival which focused on the theme of innovation in transport and sustainability with an aim to promote interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Student volunteers from Qatar Academy for Science & Technology (QAST) were trained by the centre’s mentors to provide workshop assistance during the six day event. Free workshops for different levels of coding: block-based (Scratch) and text-based coding (Python) along with
Robotics were conducted for approximately 120+ students aged 6-16, from different schools across Qatar.
The learning festival witnessed participation from 50 local and international partners who joined hands to offer a multitude of sessions and interactive learning activities to the community.
Learn, Connect, and Experience was the festival's slogan – and it was a week of doing just that!
